Downloading has led to diversifying out of necessity. Whether your passion is music, film or videogames, if it comes on a disc, chances are CD Replay sells it—and at a reasonable cost to boot. The store’s west wall heaves with new music releases: Kanye West’s Graduation lately sold for $17, while Caribou’s Andorra went for $18; at $8 per album, the remastered versions of the Police back catalogue were practically theft. But the biggest enticements in this Annex shop lie in the used CD and DVD sections. A recent visit heralded a copy of the film Capote for $13 and the 1987 comedy classic Spaceballs for a tenner, while the sassy first season of Desperate Housewives was decently priced at $50.
