Specializing in publishers’ remainders and clear-outs, this unassuming bookstore doesn’t exactly live up to its highbrow name. Stock mostly consists of slightly dated, lesser-known titles. Among the range of militaria, Britannia and coffee table art books are interesting imports sourced from international book fairs; a 728-page tome on the Impressionists with a list price of $255 was recently available for $24.99. Children’s books are another good value; hardcover picture books range from $4.99 to $9.99. Crafts and cookbooks (the most popular categories at the store) are old school: titles include Decorative Cross Stitch and The Complete Book of Preserves & Pickles.
