In its 17th year of operation, the innovative 4th Line Theatre has earned a reputation for presenting original historical plays on its barnyard stage and in its fields. Located just north of Port Hope, the theatre is situated at the end of a long driveway lined with 150-year-old maples, overlooking rolling meadows and wildflower gardens. The site opens at 4 p.m., so theatre-goers can bring a picnic or arrange for one to be waiting upon their arrival ($13 per person). A licensed concession stand sells wine and beer.
