Steam Whistle Brewery

Built in 1929, the Steam Whistle Brewery was, until 1983, a roundhouse employed to refuel and repair trains. Since 1999, it has been refuelling and refreshing after-work suits and party-goers with snappy Pilsner at its long, curving bar. The brewery only makes one kind of beer, a Bavarian-style Pilsner that strictly adheres to a 1516 German standard for purity and uses natural ingredients. If you don’t fancy drinking, take a tour of the brewery, whose cavernous rooms are dominated by huge wooden posts and beams.
