This swanky, subterranean haven is as long and lean as its comely servers. The white and grey decor—from the cushy banquettes to the floral arrangements—makes you feel as though you’re drinking inside an iPod (in fact, there is a DJ spinning down-tempo beats). But the club’s pristine colour scheme and flattering lighting create the perfect backdrop for posing: seeing and being seen is Amber’s raison d’être. So if you’re secure in your fabulousness, then this place is your runway (and there will be no hoi polloi to spoil the sightlines—a sharp-eyed doorman vets the crowd during the busiest hours). Delicious cocktails, many made with freshly squeezed juices, include the mint limonada martini (Finlandia vodka and mint lemonade). In the early evening, Amber is an upscale restaurant; a Cape Cod–style patio packs in pretty people and visiting celebs.
