One of the biggest hits of last year’s theatre season, Scorched wowed local audiences with its incendiary acting and imaginative staging. Tarragon knows better than to let it go: it’s bringing back the Dora Award–winning English-language production of Wajdi Mouawad’s difficult 2003 play, Incendies (about a Middle Eastern war and its long-lasting effects on one family), before the cast heads off on a national tour. Richard Rose directs Sophie Goulet, Janick Hébert, Nicola Lipman and Alon Nashman, among others, in this translation by Linda Gaboriau.—Stéphanie Verge
