Mixing everything from gospel, punk and hip hop with klezmer, musicians at this biannual event merge diasporic influences into a fest of new Jewish culture. Also on the bill: panels on the state of Yiddish; readings by Michael Wex (Born to Kvetch) and Rhea Tregebov (The Strength of Materials); paintings of pre-war Poland by Maciej Frankiewicz; and If Cows Could Fly, a show by Allan Merovitz about growing up Jewish in the Ottawa Valley. —Brent Ledger
