The second edition of Soundstreams’ international percussion festival stars some of Canada’s most gifted musicians and composers alongside world-renowned percussion soloists and ensembles. Watch for Raging Asian Women Taiko Drummers; world premieres of new works by Toronto’s Michael Colgrass and Alice Ho; a Latin American evening with Mexico’s Tambuco and American Glen Velez; and the astonishing Nexus ensemble in Terry Riley’s landmark 1960s work In C.—Rick MacMillan
