Toronto’s newest food truck has balls—literally and figuratively

It takes balls to launch a food truck in December. Luckily, Toronto’s newest mobile snack den has huge ones. And little ones. And ones slathered with gravy and melted cheddar cheese. We Got Balls rolled onto Toronto streets on December 5, just in time to be blasted by the city’s first whiteout of the season. Since then, the fledgling enterprise has faced a few snags, including sub-zero temperatures and a busted generator, but is persevering in the face of the (literal) storm. The menu includes standard meatball sliders, plus unconventional options like cheddar-broccoli balls, octopus takoyaki balls and cheesy meatball poutine. West-siders can find the truck at the northeast corner of Dufferin and Dupont Streets on December 18. If freezing in line doesn’t appeal, truck-to-car delivery is available for customers who park nearby.
