In this week’s roundup of Toronto’s buzziest restaurants: Jamie Oliver almost kills himself, and Jessica Alba goes on an unusually well-documented Toronto restaurant crawl.

1. Buca (new this week)
Britain’s hunkiest—and apparently most suicidal—chef instagrammed his love for Rob Gentile’s subterranean trattoria (among other things).

2. The Chase (no change)
After all those tacos, turns out what the city really craves is $70 chickens. The buzz around Globe critic Chris Nuttall-Smith’s favourite new restaurant continues unabated.

3. Drake One Fifty (↓2)
The new gastropub has settled down after its flashy first week. Several prime-time tables are up for grabs this weekend.

4. The Huntsman (new this week)
Things are looking good for the brand-new College Street tavern, which got a glowing early review from culinary connoisseur James Chatto (he recommends the venison stew and the Scotchy Scotch Scotch).

5. Hudson Kitchen (↓2)
The question on everyone’s mind about the restaurant that swept TIFF: can it live up to the hype? So far, yes. Friday and Saturday night tables are booked until 10 p.m.

6. Edulis (2)
Last week’s cool-down was indeed a fluke. Chances of scoring a table before Halloween are slim.

7. Beast (no change)
Hungry brunchers are lining up for 30 minutes on weekends to sample the Tecumseth Street restaurant’s now internationally notorious Beastwich.

8. Bero (↓4)
Last week’s buzz spike continues to deliver: the new Leslieville restaurant is fully booked on Friday and Saturday nights.

9. Patria (↓3)
For the first time in weeks, there’s a Friday table up for grabs at the King West hotspot. The only catch: its at 4:30 p.m.

10. Aroma (new this week)
Jessica Alba was so invested in her meal at the Indian restaurant she made a video diary about it. (This might be an example of celebs occasionally not having the best intel about the city’s must-try culinary destinations.)

Honourable Mentions: Snap-happy Alba also instagrammed her meals at power-penthouses Stock and Canoe; Drake lived up to his lyrics by dining at Yorkville’s Sotto Sotto; and Black Hoof owner Jen Agg showed some online love for new College West brunch spot Me and Mine.

Dropped off the list this week: Kaiseki Yu-Zen Hashimoto, Chantecler, Bent
