David Chang’s culinary complex gets another exciting new addition; meanwhile, a trio of Hollywood PYTs goes for barbecue.

1. Momofuku Toronto (↑1)
A little more than a week after opening an outpost of its beloved bake shop, Momofuku is bringing a brand new patio to Daishō.

2. Big Crow (new this week)
Anthony Rose served Robert Pattison, Mia Wasikowska and Jesse Eisenberg at his backyard barbecue.

3. Playa Cabana Hacienda (2)
The only seatings available this weekend at David Sidhu’s newest taqueria are before 5:30 p.m.

4. Bar Isabel (↑1)
Cheap plates with heaping piles of meat are bringing diners in at all hours. The reservation book is full until 11:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday night.

5. Cabana Pool Bar (↓4)
Charles Khabouth’s all-day party spot continues to bring out the city’s bikini and bling set.

6. La Carnita (no change)
The lineup starts to form at 7 p.m. By 8 p.m. the wait is close to an hour long.

7. El Catrin (new this week)
The new Mexican spot in the Distillery District already has a full reservation book this weekend. Walk-ins can expect to wait 30 minutes to an hour.

8. Rock Lobster Queen (↓1)
The 80-seat back patio is one of the best summer spots in the city.

9. THR&Co. (↑1)
Globe and Mail critic Chris Nuttall-Smith dubbed the new place from the owners of The Harbord Room the “rare Toronto restaurant for nearly everyone.”

10. Amsterdam Brewhouse (↓2)
Even though the giant brewpub has 300 seats spread over four patios, expect to wait for a table if the weather is good.

Honourable Mentions
Toronto Star food columnist Corey Mintz’s Twitter account was hacked, prompting a cheeky auto-response and some attention from Buzzfeed. Meanwhile, Star food critic Amy Pataki discovered the delicious fried eggplant sandwich at Sud Forno, the new Queen West bakery from the owners of nearby Terroni.
