Introducing: The Beer Hall

Name: The Beer Hall

Contact Info: 21 Tank House Lane, 416-681-0338, millstreetbrewery.com, @MillStBrewPubTO
Owners: Mill St. Brewery

The Food: Gourmet versions of classic pub fare, like a hot charcuterie pork board ($32) and mini-lamb and lavender sausage sliders ($16). Mill St. beer is an ingredient in almost all the items on the menu.

The Drinks: The Beer Hall is the only place in Canada that has bierschnaps, a traditional clear and colourless beer-based spirit that’s distilled onsite and served as a shot. Mill St. beers and house-brewed root beer are on tap.

The Place: Glass-encased stainless steel beer and coppers stills are the centrepieces of the otherwise classic beer hall with communal high-top tables at the front and traditional seating and booths in the main space.

The Numbers
• 100-x-20-foot patio
• 5 beer lines in each pipe running from the brewery to the bar
• 3 types of bierschnapps (made from Tank House, Coffee Porter and Frambozen beers)
