Morimoto says no to T.O.
In May it was announced that chef Masaharu Morimoto would be opening his first Canadian restaurant in Toronto. The kitchen, which would have been yet another project from Charles Khabouth and Hanif Harji, was to take up a couple floors of the 47-storey Theatre Park building on King West, and was originally set to open this winter (then, shortly after, it was rescheduled for spring 2016). But, as it turns out, Morimoto will not be joining his Iron Chef peers Susur Lee and Rob Feenie in our city, due to building delays. INK Entertainment representative Elain Quan did confirm that Charles Khabouth still plans to open a restaurant in the space—it just won’t be a Morimoto—and more details will be released in the new year.
