More news regarding the ongoing Pearson restaurant makeover from Saturday’s Globe and MailMassimo Capra of Davenport’s Mistura and, um, Restaurant Makeover, is set to open not one, but two restaurants at Pearson Airport this fall. While the chefs involved with the other new Pearson restaurants that we told you about back in April are only to be paid as consultants, and are not responsible for day-to-day operations, Capra’s people will actually be on-site at his new Pearson locations. The first of the two restaurants, an Italian-style trattoria, will touch down in Terminal One domestic departures (replacing Coyote Jack’s), with an additional grab-and-go section in the U.S. departures area. Travellers can expect classic Italian pizzas, pastas and appetizers, including some popular items off the Mistura menu (the tagliatelle bolognese, for one). With a little luck, Pearson diners might soon be able to enjoy the pre-boarding culinary bliss that O’Hare diners have known for years now. [Globe and Mail]
