When Levack Block opened at the corner of Ossington and Humbert, it was the shiniest, least decrepit storefront on a still-pretty-decrepit strip. Six years later, Ossington has become the city’s go-to thoroughfare for trendy bar food and nighttime debauchery, and Levack is closed for good.

Blog TO reports that the historic three-storey building that housed the bar was recently sold to new owners, and that the space will eventually be put to another use—though any plans to demolish the structure could be stymied by heritage concerns. As for Levack, it bade adieu to its loyal clientele last Saturday in signature fashion: with a big, bump-and-grind dance party in the bar’s clubby back room.
