Potentially salmonella-tinged spices latest thing to make lunch terrifying
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency is issuing yet another recall. This time, it’s spices that may contain salmonella. Here’s hoping no one jazzed up their Siena deli meat sandwiches with this stuff. The seasonings in question are from Frontier Natural Products (full list here) and Whole Foods Market 365 (full list here). Combine this with the deli meats, the mystery infections and Toyota’s massive recall, and lunch breaks are deadlier than ever. It doesn’t matter if someone is packing his or her lunch or driving to McDonald’s—everyone is screwed.

A friend dropped by the other day with a couple of beer and a bag of chips. How nice. The next day I felt ill, gassy, feverish etc, then the next day felt a little better but became efverish in the evening. That’s when I saw the chips on Tv as part of a recall. Then I woke up at 4 am in a full seiizure, having banged myself up pretty badly for who knows howlong, having fallen from bed and thrashed around in convulsions etc. Now the fingers are pointing at this bad of chips. The media should be doing a better job of getting this info out there. I have searched for any other mention of this brand of chips but not found it anywhere other than that brief mention on CTV news. WHat is with today’s media? Just in it for the money are you? No sense of public responsibility. There should be complete lists of every product on recall easily available…not behind 15 different internet curtains…and behind curtain number 1 is “death by torture..” call us if youa re still alive Friday…” Good night and have a pleasant evening..This is not some game show…show us the goods.
what kind of chips were they? you should do your part
as well and let people know the brand and kind instead of
just complaining about them. that would make your point a
little stronger.
you can sign up for food alerts from the canadian food inspection agency and hear about all recalls as they are issued by the agency.
Alot of them never even get picked up by the mainstream media.

I may be a little late on this one but Annie is right, nwest: considering these violent physical reactions you were experiencing, you’d think one would want to alert the rest of us what these mystery chips were so that we don’t end up having to experience the same thing! I, for one, don’t always catch the news and don’t think to check internet sources for the latest recalls on consumer goods–not sure about the rest of you~
