Starry night: The premiere of this celeb-studded, epically soundtracked nostalgia flick was called the American benediction of TIFF. But if stateside approval gave us cred (and prime star-spotting ops in Yorkville), it also got film snobs and CanConnies snickering about the Hollywood-ization of Toronto’s festival.
