Toronto’s Economy in 2025

Toronto Life In Conversation kicks off with a bang

On October 16, Toronto Life In Conversation welcomed more than 200 guests to Desautels Hall at the Rotman School of Management for a compelling discussion about Toronto’s economy in 2025. Amanda Lang, senior business correspondent of CBC News, moderated a provocative debate on what it takes to ensure the city’s prosperity in the next decade. The panel consisted of five of the city’s finest thinkers: Janet Ecker, president and CEO, Toronto Financial Services Alliance; Jennifer Keesmaat, chief planner for the City of Toronto; Jeff Rubin, best-selling author and economist; Carol Wilding, president and CEO of Chartered Professional Accounts of Ontario; and Michael Williams, general manager, Economic Development and Culture Division, City of Toronto.
Manulife Financial was the premier sponsor of the event. A reception followed featuring drinks and hors d’oeuvres from 10tation catering.
