TIFF Party: Aussies rule at the Felony cast dinner at Hudson Kitchen
In the span of a single week, new Dundas West restaurant Hudson Kitchen has morphed from fledgling Little Portugal outpost into celebrity-approved destination. On Tuesday night, we stopped by for a Sennheiser-hosted dinner party for the Felony cast, which was populated by Aussie talent: Melissa George, majestic in Calvin Klein and a smooth chignon; Sarah Roberts, whose peekaboo dress showcased her trim waist; Jai Courtney, a hirsute hottie in a single-button blazer;and Joel Edgerton, looking casual and cool and taking long drags of a cigarette.
Veteran actor and lone Brit Tom Wilkinson held court with the young foursome, especially mom-to-be George. “So, you are not drinking? And you’re not smoking?” he asked in mock-horror. George delicately shook her head no and continued to float about the room, chatting in her soft, hybrid accent about filming The Good Wife, and her home in Paris. Meanwhile, Edgerton and Courtney spent the pre-screening dinner smoking and discussing the next Mission Impossible movie. Oh, and having fun sandwiching director Matthew Saville in photos, saying “sexiest in the middle.”
