The night after the trick-or-treaters pack it in, Torontonians lug their jack-o’-lanterns down to their local park for a final hurrah before they hit the green bin. Every year, these pumpkin parades—there are now more than 20 across the city—become less cute community event and more pop-up art exhibition, featuring intricately carved pop-culture references (Pokémon, Star Wars characters) and characters that range from mildly frightening (ghosts and demons) to downright terrifying (Donald Trump). Here, we count down our 20 favourite squash masterpieces.
