A lot of people had a lot to say about Rob Ford’s apathetic attitude toward his weight-loss challenge, but none offered much earnest support—except Psychology Today. On the magazine’s website, Toronto-based sports psychologist Kate F. Hays offered Ford a tip on sticking to his off-again on-again goal of losing 50 pounds: “Even though you might think that the ‘Action’ stage is the most important, spending sufficient time thoroughly exploring the Contemplation and Preparation stages allows you to commit more completely to Action.” Seems like sound advice that Mayor Ford may want to apply to some of his city hall decisions as well. [Psychology Today]
