QUOTED: the director of the Adult Entertainment Association on recruiting strippers at high schools
“We’re going to have to hire an 18-year-old to work in a club and we’re going to take the steps to make sure they don’t drink.”
—Tim Lambrinos, executive director of the Adult Entertainment Association of Canada, on where clubs will find exotic dancers now that Ottawa has stopped issuing work permits to foreign strippers. The federal government instituted the change on July 14 with the noble intent of protecting foreign workers from exploitation. However, the new rule will result in a shortage of dancers, a gap Lambrinos is now looking to fill by recruiting in Toronto high schools and universities (at least he’s threatening to do so as part of a media campaign to repeal the law). “We will be taking a strippers’ dance pole with us to the schools,” Lambrinos told the Toronto Sun last week. First stripper poles at city hall, now stripper poles at city schools. [Toronto Star]
Wow, classy. But are we the least bit surprised?
I don’t think parents should allow this to happen as it exploits young women who should want something more than being a piece of meat on a pole. Ottawa should shut down clubs than keep them open who cares as their are enough dvd’s out there for the pigs who want this kind of entertainment. Ottawa didn’t renew their visas for a reason not to exploit foreign workers does this Lambrino guy want to try and exploit Canadian women instead good luck even if you could try it you could be shut down in a week. The stripping business is old and dated and long overdue for a shutdown in this modern society. As women are exploited enough in this country with prostitution everywhere and nothing being done about that either. I would think in this modern day and age the government would better spend their time shutting down prostitution and the porn industry with aids and drug related deaths would be enough to shut it down and help women forced into this occupation by men to help them better themselves and get them off the streets instead of creating more Picton like sickos endangering thie lives for a quick buck. I don’t think Ottawa should allow Canadian women to go down this road especially at a vulnerable age to paedophiles like Lambrinos
whatever happened to the brilliant pension teachers were counting on…
