This is the capital of Canada. This is not Minneapolis; this is not Houston.
—Councillor Frank Di Giorgio, speaking out against LRTs at yesterday’s council meeting, appears to have gotten a little confused. He’s right—Toronto isn’t Minneapolis or Houston. Unfortunately, though, it isn’t the capital of Canada—even if it often acts like it is.
Wait, it’s not? Does that mean Rob Ford wasn’t elected King?
Oh man, this just goes to show you how bright the elected cousellor of this ward is. If the people who lived in York South-Weston actually got off their butts and voted we would have appropriate gov’t elected here… WHAT A SHAME!
Just goes to prove that Di Giorgio should not be a councillor. I’m ashamed that he is representing the ward I live in.
DON’T BE TALKING ABOUT MY ZIO LIKE THAT!!!!He’s doing a pretty good job at running your ward. Everyone gets mixed up once in a while because Toronto is a big city!!!! Alot of people get mixed up by this everyday; it just matters because he is thecouncillor if someone else had said it everyone would have laughed it off so give the guy a break.
He probably meant to say capital of Ontario; however, I wouldn’t put it passed him to make such an error. His time is about to run out real soon as city councilor.
