Apparently, Toronto bachelor Michael Bryant turns to online dating to look for love
After separating from his wife and having some irreconcilable differences with a recent flame, it seems Michael Bryant has turned to the web to find true love—maybe. Someone (probably not Bryant, we’ll concede) has created a match.com profile for the former attorney general, under the username “itsalongstory66.” Yes, it certainly is. According to the profile, Bryant is “happy and drama free,” is a “Senior Fellow (or some such pompous title) at U of T,” thinks dogs make great pets, likes Mexican food and vampires and is looking for someone with “a macabre or semi-inappropriate sense of humour” (our personal fave). Interested ladies can check out his full profile.
You know what should be a HUGE red flag to single women. Any man who says his age and then that he’s looking for a woman anywhere from 15 years younger than him up to his age but not any older than him. Really? A woman one year older (or 10 for that matter) couldn’t possibly be a match? No wonder so many of these men are single.
Also, I think Toronto Life should get a life and respect people’s personal lives. We don’t need to know this and surely he doesn’t need this – nor do his children. Oooh, well known man uses an online dating site! Big scoop!
I wonder why his wife left him? Maybe because that wasn’t her in the car when he was driving home from ‘celebrating their anniversary’ and murdered my friend.
Karma’s a bitch.
Wow!…at first I thought I read the name wrong…of interest to me ‘cuz part of his defense was how he was protecting his WIFE from attack… will suck if it emerges that he was just playing the family values card…
This is a total invasion of privacy. I love Toronto Life, but this is going too far. Stay out of people’s personal lives if it’s not relevant to anything.
This is one of the worst articles I have ever seen on the Toronto Life website. This is not news worthy and you should be embarrassed to have published it. I urge you to remove this story.
Should have a section for nicknames. “Killer” perhaps?
I am disappointed that Toronto Life published this. What is the point? I find this to be a gossipy, low brow, blow. Say what will you will about Bryant, but respect people’s personal lives – keep them private.
Personally, I think of this as public service journalism. Women everywhere should be suitably cautious when meeting men online, and here is a vivid illustration.
I have a subscription to Toronto Life and find this article pathetic. This is the type of ‘news’ that I would expect to show up on a gossip blog. Grow up, Kevin Hamilton.
