Most Torontonians love a weekend by the lake, but buying, upgrading and maintaining property in cottage country is becoming more and more challenging. The August issue of Toronto Life features a special guide to nabbing a cottage for cheap (or at least cheapish) as well as Paul Wilson’s feature story, “The Battle Over Lake Simcoe,” that examines the war between a resort developer and the cottagers of Lake Simcoe.
All of this got us thinking about the many cottage stories and advice our readers must have, whether they be prospective buyers, new owners or longstanding cottagers. We invite you to share your opinions and reactions in the forum threads on the left.
